An alternative solution to replace cast iron - Nano mineral casting
Currently, most machine tools use cast iron as the material for structural components. However, in addition to the unstable price and delivery time of cast iron, cast iron structural components have poor dynamic and thermal performance, and are prone to thermal deformation of the entire machine due to the heat generated during mechanical operation, resulting in the inability to sustain good machining precision. Therefore, finding suitable and more efficient alternatives to cast iron has become an important issue for machine tool manufacturers, and mineral casting materials provide a good solution to these problems.
Vibration Damping Data of Mineral Casting / Polymer Composite
At 70 degrees Fahrenheit, the vibration damping test was performed on the casting material samples with a pressure of 1.5in.X1.5in.X9in.bar. The results are shown in the figure: The vibration speed of Mineral Casting / Polymer Composite is 45 times that of alumina, 10 times that of cast iron and steel, and 4 times that of granite.
